Our Warranty Policy
Warranty Coverage
NORTwood warrants to the Purchaser that, from the original date of purchase, and under normal residential or commercial use and service, its cladding and siding materials will be free from defects in material and workmanship.
By “defects,” we refer specifically to:
Splintering
Voiding
Twisting
Rotting
Structural damage caused by fungi or termites
This warranty is valid for 25 years and covers material durability. It does not cover discoloration. After 5 years, the material may experience up to a 10% color fade over the following 10 years for both residential and commercial applications. All warranties are subject to the following limitations and conditions.
If you notice a defect in any delivered product, please submit a written claim within 14 days of discovery. You may be required to return the product to us for evaluation. NORTwood will inspect the product and review the installation method to determine whether a replacement or refund is warranted.
Limitations of Liability
The Purchaser’s sole remedy—and NORTwood’s only liability—for any claim related to NORTwood products (whether arising from marketing, purchase, installation, use, storage, or maintenance, or from breach of contract, warranty, tort, gross negligence, negligence, strict liability, statutes, or otherwise), including claims of non-performance, shall be limited exclusively to the replacement of the defective product.
NORTwood is not responsible for the costs of installing the replacement product or disposing of the defective one.
Extent of Replacement Obligation
NORTwood’s obligation to replace a defective product is limited to the volume (linear feet) of defective material as outlined in the Prorated Warranty Schedule, or to the number of defective NORTwood fasteners.
Replacement products will be matched as closely as possible in color, design, and quality to the original, based on NORTwood’s reasonable judgment. The Purchaser acknowledges that an exact match is not guaranteed, as colors and designs may vary over time.
The Purchaser agrees to the use of any fasteners NORTwood deems appropriate for reinstallation, regardless of the original method used.
At its sole discretion, NORTwood may choose to issue a refund equal to the applicable percentage of the original purchase price, as indicated in the Prorated Warranty Schedule, instead of providing a replacement.
Exclusion of Certain Damages
Under no circumstances shall NORTwood be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, punitive, or exemplary damages, whether arising from the product itself or from any defects, including—but not limited to—diminished property value or loss of use or enjoyment of property.
This limitation applies regardless of the legal theory involved, even if NORTwood has been advised of the possibility of such damages.
Note: Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so this provision may not apply to you.
5. Exclusion of Associated Costs
This Limited Warranty does not cover and NORTwood shall not be liable for any installation, removal, disposal, or reinstallation costs incurred by the Purchaser.
6. Conditions Not Covered by Warranty
NORTwood does not warrant and shall not be held liable—expressly or implicitly—for any damage or condition resulting, in whole or in part, from:
Improper installation of NORTwood products
Failure to follow NORTwood’s written installation guidelines
Non-compliance with applicable building codes or laws
Inadequate structural support, fastening, ventilation, or spacing
- Damage to the panels during transportation, if carried out by the buyer or a company appointed by the buyer
Use beyond normal residential/commercial applications
Movement, settling, or collapse of the ground or supporting structure
Improper maintenance, repair, or workmanship
Water damage from improper installation

Fire, excessive heat, or contact with reflective surfaces
Application of paints, stains, chemical treatments, pesticides, or any coatings
Deterioration of applied finishes over time
Climate change, static electricity, or other external factors beyond NORTwood’s control
If NORTwood determines your claim is valid, your product will be replaced, or you will receive a refund. Please note that the refunded amount depends on the return date, and the warranty may be transferred only once within 5 years from the original purchase date.
